Who am I - why do I see this work as part of my life's mission?

Born in Chicago, to Mexican emigrant parents specifically from Jalisco. I am bilingual and bicultural, I grew between two very different worlds. 

For many years I felt I did not belong anywhere.  My siblings and I moved constantly back and forth from the US to Mexico.  I was feeling incomplete, inadequate and in a constant quest to belong. 

Ten years ago, I felt the need to learn about my roots, putting together a puzzle between me and my ancestry.

I now understand better the struggles and richness of my people, the drive that led then to come to the new world. I do not longer pass judgment, on them or myself.  I simply recognize their journey and how I am a result of their dreams, sacrifices and collective experiences. 

I feel its my new life mission to help people search and find answers and build stronger relationships with their families of origin and sense of self and how we can move forward honoring our ancestors.
